Dr. Bazzo has been named a Top Doctor in family medicine by the San Diego County Medical Society and San Diego Magazine every year since 2005 and
was named a Top Doctor in both family medicine and sports medicine in 2009, 2011, and 2012.
He is team physician for the San Diego Roller Derby, the Malashock Dance Company, House Doctor for the San Diego Symphony, Mira Mesa High School and UC San Diego Intercollegiate Athletics.

When it comes to physician/patient communication, Dr. Bazzo is nationally and internationally recognized . He is faculty for the UC San Diego Physician
Assessment and Clinical Education (PACE) program continuing professional development courses and trains physicians on how to connect and communicate
with patients to improve the quality of the patient’s experience and service.

Dr. Bazzo played high school football, baseball and wrestling and was named to the All-Valley Football squad in San Gabriel Valley (near Los Angeles).
His subspecialty of sports medicine reflects his love of athletic activities. He currently enjoys golf, tennis, volleyball and surfing.

Dr. Bazzo has been providing medical care to San Diego families since 1993.
Dr. Bazzo’s practice is closed to new family medicine continuity patients but is available for all sports medicine consultation visits.
